The Eye of the Tornado: Fifty Poems for Rhyme and Reason
Get swept up in the poetic storm!

The Eye of the Tornado: Fifty Poems for Rhyme and Reason, addresses universal themes such as racism and love, feminism and freedom, socialism and religion, using the tornado as a constant metaphor for life.  Parallel to its scientific definition, the eye of the tornado translates to the peace found amidst a thrashing storm.

The collection is broken into five sections, or phases, with ten poems in each. The separate segments represent a respective phase of the storm, which comes together at the end in a reflective and inspirational circle. The subtitles are as follows: I. The calm, the weatherman predicts showers. II. The beginning, it feels like rain.  III. The wrath, on finding shelter and fighting back. IV. The aftermath, surveying the damage, rebuilding. V. The sunshine, dancin' under the rainbow.
